If you haven't seen this, a great clip titled Did You Know about how information availability is changing our lives and world considering globalization, hyper competition, innovation, and the shifting balance of economies. A couple of favorites:
- 1 in 8 married couples in the US met online
- Today's learners will have 10-14 jobs by the time they're 38
- The number of text messages sent each day exceeds the total population on earth
- By 2049, a $1000 computer will exceed the computational capability of the entire human race
Thank you to Ken Friedman for the pointer--you can find an interesting perspective here too.

Such a provocative data set. Thought you might be interested to see that this same clip was posted onto dotsub.com ( http://tinyurl.com/5wvxf8 ) a free site that allows wiki-like translations - In a little over 1 month, it is being translated/shared in over 13 languages including Hebrew, Turkish & Swedish, with 3 Spanish variants (Basque, Catalan(Valencian), Spanish (Castillian),) Polish, Flemish and many others already 100% done. Just another "Did You Know?" data point showing how the web 'exponentializes' the spread of quality content by 'potentiating' mundane tasks (such as translating).
