I use Facebook quite a lot, but I think that they are still favoring "features" and especially "growth" over usability and user experience. Not that the user experience isn't "good enough", but the Friends management could be much better. The same is true for very basic functions like Event/Invites and so on... In the list that you mentioned, Places is likely the winner. The others still have to face stiff competition and it's not cleat if the mere fact that we're on Facebook often will be enough to make them win.

The single value of Facebook is still that its users are storing and using their real identity. Does it help me connect with folks - absolutely. Does it add value when I want to know where people are? Yes! Does it help me buy coupons? Not at all.

With the help of its numerous services and user-friendly interface, Facebook has become the hottest and most supported social network site as of today. This can serve a medium for online business to market their wares and services to a wider audience. The inter connectivity that Facebook provides can allow a business to reach a wide audience with little effort.

True. This website became a hit simply because of its accessibility. Because of that, it became a medium for multiple purposes, even business matters. One example of which is the online businesses that use Facebook for marketing purposes.
