I’ve written before about Better Place—the electric car company created to help reduce the West’s dependency on oil. Better Place’s focus on the full driver ecosystem (including the contracts we have with our cars, an F-16 like battery switching stations scheme, etc.) make it the kind of a company that, even if unsuccessful at reaching its audacious mission, will go down in history as a uniquely innovative company that shifted car buyer’s mental models on multiple aspects.
Shai Agassi, Founder and CEO of Better Place is seen and heard across the world for his innovative idea and business model. But here, in an interview by my friend David Spark—founder of Spark Media—Agassi provides personal insights, philosophical almost, to moments of inspiration in the early days of Better Place…including a conversation with President Bill Clinton.
Enjoy.
